Ana Celia de Armas Caso is a Cuban as well as a Spanish actor. She began her professional career in Cuba in the role of Una Rosa de France. From 2007 until 2010she appeared as El Internado in six popular seasons of the Spanish drama. De Armas, who relocated to Los Angeles in 2015, was a part-time English speaker in the thriller Knock Knock and comedy-crime War Dogs. The film made her famous due to her role as the hyper-realistic AI projection Joi in the science-fiction film Blade Runner 2049 (2017).
